Role in Brief

Opportunik Global Fund is seeking a Copywriter Intern to craft engaging content that supports the company’s mission of unlocking prosperity for Africans through alternative investments. The intern will assist in creating and implementing content strategies, developing copy for various platforms, and ensuring alignment with the brand’s voice and objectives.

Key responsibilities include content creation, editing, and collaboration with the marketing team to communicate Opportunik’s value proposition effectively. The role also involves conducting research to produce compelling, audience-specific materials that enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop clear, concise, and persuasive copy for various platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, advertisements, and blogs.
  • Conduct research to understand target audiences, brand voice, and industry trends to create content that resonates effectively.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to align messaging with brand strategies and campaign objectives.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize content performance and iterate copy for maximum engagement and conversions.
  • Stay updated with emerging trends in content marketing, SEO best practices, and digital communication to maintain competitive and innovative content delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent tone of voice across all brand communication materials.
  • Brainstorm and contribute creative ideas for marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional strategies.
  • Manage multiple content projects and deadlines effectively while maintaining a high-quality output.

Requirements

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on clarity, creativity, and engagement.
  • Ability to adapt writing style to fit different platforms (social media, blogs, emails, etc.) and target audiences.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and brand voice.
  • Excellent research skills to create accurate and compelling content.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and basic SEO principles is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and open to learning.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Previous writing experience (e.g., through internships, personal projects, or freelance work) is advantageous but not required.
